
The Honourable Otto Lang, an Officer of the Order of Canada, is currently a Senior Counsel, based in Winnipeg, with FH Canada, where he advises a number of corporate and government clients.
Mr. Lang was elected to the House of Commons in 1968 and was re–elected in 1972 and 1974 as Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Humboldt. Through the years, he held many Cabinet posts, including serving as Minister responsible for the Canadian Wheat Board, Minister of Manpower (now Citizenship) and Immigration, Minister of Justice, Attorney General of Canada, and Minister of Transport.
Following his career in politics, Mr. Lang served in a number of senior corporate roles, including as the Executive Vice President of Pioneer Grain Co. Ltd., Chairman of the Transport Institute at the University of Manitoba and President and CEO of Centra Gas Manitoba Inc.
Mr. Lang is a Rhodes Scholar and a former Dean of Law at the University of Saskatchewan, holding the distinction of being the youngest person to be appointed to that position.
